SOLID  Solid consists of two MCs (EazeaGenius and MC J-Biggs) hailing from the inner city of St. Louis. They met as freshman in high school and developed a lifelong friendship. Ironically, it never was about rap. Both being born in 1978 (the year Hip Hop is said to have started with the release of Sugar Hill Gang), they grew as hip-hop grew and knew no other way of life. Therefore the style is not old school or new school, it's right on time.
As life and college took them their separate ways after high school, Eaze ended up in Virginia honing his flow at Studio 122 and Biggs remained around the Midwest forming the legendary rap family, "The Committee" (a staple in the St. Louis Underground scene). In 2005 the old friends linked back up on Myspace and realized each were spitting flows that would soon shake the game. At the time Eaze was based in Tucson, Arizona and J-Biggs was still posted in St. Louis. They didn't let this stop them from recording their first song together "Gotta Get It". They emailed tracks and verses back and forth and laid the groundwork for their future as a group.
Eaze came back home to St. Louis at the very end of 2007 and the two didn’t waste any time getting in the studio to begin recording. Exactly two years later by the end of 2009 they realized between them they had 50 tracks recording together and separately. Most were recorded in the Cooler with J-Toth, who Biggs initially met through a mutual friend, the late “Katt” Davis (Forever Peace), and later would record with him the first time with his younger brother Space the Cashtranaut on the album “Circumsizing the Industry”.
After rocking a few shows, living a 'lil life and just being frustrated with the game in general, the two decided to release their first project “From Water to Ice”. The title simply describes how the two separate MCs flowed like water then came together to make it ice cold…(hence the group name Solid...working with Frozen Foods). With that being said this first project is free for the true fans to be blessed with.
